The Hymn of Love by Apostle Paul

The Hymn of Love by Apostle Paul from His FIRST LETTER TO THE CORINTHIANS

My brothers you all together are the body of Christ and you belong in It each one of you separately. For this in church God placed each one in his determined place. First come the Apostols, in the second place the prophets, in third the teachers and follow, the miracle makers, the therapists, those that stand by in the needing, the administrators, those who speak various kinds of of languages. not all are apostles? not all are prophets? not all are teachers? not all do have powers? not all do have the gift of healing? not all do speak languages? not all do interpret? Your desires however should be directed to the most valuable gifts. I show you an even higher destination. Love. If I can speak all the languages of the people, even of the angels, but I have no love for the others, then my words resound like the sound of a bell of brass, or like cymbal clanging. And if I have of the prophesy the gift and all I know the mysteries and all the knowledge, and even if I have all the faith so that I can move mountains, but I have no love I am nothing. And even if I give away to the poor all my properties, and if I deliver up to the fire my body to burn, but I have no love, I benefit nothing. The one that loves has patience, has kindness, he who loves is not envious, he who loves is not boastful, neither is puffed up, does not act unbecomingly, is not egoist, neither is easily provoked, it does not keeps account of wrongs that has suffered. Does not ask for what belongs to it. Does not rejoices the injustice, that happens, but, participates in the joy for the truth. He who loves, he bears all things, to everything he trusts, hopes for everything good, he endures all things. Love never ever love will nor cease to exist. Brothers, you are the body of Christ and members in particular. And indeed God has appointed in the church first Apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then powers, then gifts of healing, ideas, governments, nations. not all are apostles? not all are prophets? not all are teachers? not all do have powers? not all do have the gift of healing? not all do speak languages? not all do interpret? be desirous however of the gifts of the highest kind; and now by more surpassing I show a way to you. If (all) the languages of the people I can spean and of the angels, love however I do not have, I have merely become brass resounding or cymbal clanging. and if I have prophesy and I understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all the faith, that I can move mountains, if however I have no love, I am nothing. and if I give away all my properties, and if I deliver up my body in the fire to be burnt, if however I have no love, I am profited nothing. Love is patient, offers itself, love is not envious, love is not boastful, neither is puffed up, does not act unbecomingly, does not ask for what belongs to it, is not easily provoked, it does not keeps account of wrongs, not rejoices the injustice, rejoices however with the truth; it bears all things, all things believes, all things hopes, all things endures. Love never fails; END
